She is the first international student to serve as SGA president, the first female president since 2009 and she was recently selected for the Potts Student Advisory Council Leadership Award from among SGA presidents in Georgia. She is Azell Francis, a student at Georgia Southern and a leader with a bright future.

Where Are They Now?

Though Tim Willis (‘94) lost his eyesight at age 10, he hasn’t let it hinder his courage or confidence. While at Georgia Southern, he was the first blind athlete to compete in NCAA Division I cross country, and has since become a medal-winning member of the U.S. Paralympic team, setting national and world records along the way.
