Biography:
Before joining Georgia Southern University in 1998 as an Assistant Professor in the Information Systems department, I worked for over 35 years in various engineering and engineering management positions with: Atlantic Research Corporation, IBM Corporation, Fairfield Areospace, Systematics, General Corporation, and Communication Satellite Corporation. My last 14 years was with Federal Express Corporation (I retired from FedEx in 1998) where I held several technical and management positions and was involved in telecommunications and information systems development project management. At Georgia Southern I have taught class in systems analysis and design, global information resource management, IT management, IS/IT project managment, and computer concepts and applications.
I have been married for 43 + years, and have 3 children. Although we primarily have lived in the Washington DC, Memphis TN, and Statesboro GA areas, we have traveled a lot. We spent 2 years living in the Netherlands (1976-1978), 2 years in Switzerland (while I worked in saudi Arabia, 1979-1981), and a year in England (1991).
