Vision

The Rural Health Research Institute will become the leading organization focused on improving the health of rural communities through interdisciplinary research and outreach.

Mission

The mission of the Rural Health Research Institute is to engage in interdisciplinary research that:

1. improves health outcomes and reduces health disparities in rural communities; and
2. promotes the development of researchers examining rural health issues

Values

The Rural Health Research Institute is guided by its:

• Dedication to improve lives among rural and underserved populations
• Pursuit of innovative strategies and methods to address pressing health needs of rural communities
• Focus on creation and support of interdisciplinary research teams
