Do I have to convert to the new template?
Level one, two, and three web sites must be converted to the new templates. Find out what level you are in by clicking here to view the template policy.
Can I change the side menu links?
Yes. You can change the side menu items by changing the menuitems.txt file
I don’t see the header and side bar when looking at my site in Dreamweaver.
Since the included files exist on the server you will not see the side menu or header until you upload your site to the server.
My web site does not come up when I using the University search engine.
Due to limitations we are only able to index the first page of each site. Each search engine looks at the META tags on each page to determine the keywords for the site. Editing the meta tags can be tedious task so we have created a simpler way to do this. All you need to do is edit the keywords.txt file with your keywords from your site and it will generate the meta tags for you.
When do I have to have my sites converted to the new template?
Each site must be converted by 12/31/2006. IT Services will be providing a web site where you can select your site and verify that you have completed the conversion process.
