Model United Nations

Model United Nations is an organization that simulates the world’s largest peacekeeping organization in the world. Every year at Georgia Southern University, the organization represents a unique country to compete in an international conference in New York City.

The most dedicated students are chosen to join the team in the Spring semester. Prior Model United Nations experience is NOT required to interview for the team. International Studies and Political Science majors can receive an upper-division (4000) credit for this course. However, it is not required that you formally register for the class and take it for credit hours.

All majors are welcome. Model United Nations is a great place to network with other students, professors, and professionals from around the globe.

Georgia Southern’s team is one of the oldest, most well-known, and successful Model United Nations teams in the United States. If you are interested in joining Model United Nations, the contact information for Assistant Advisor Angelic Showalter or Head Delegate Emma Williams will be below.
