Summer Wexmester Pricing

Summer 2024: Wexmester One \ Wexmester Two \ Wexford-Normandy
The Program Cost of $4,995 includes roundtrip transatlantic air travel, which is an extra expense in most European study abroad offerings.
Georgia Southern University tuition and fees are the student’s responsibility; however, the HOPE scholarship, the PELL grant, and most other forms of financial aid may be applied to offset tuition charges.
Usually, the only university fee levied is the Tuition Fee.
Your academic advisor can help direct you study-abroad scholarships, grants, and other funding options.

Payment Includes:

  • Roundtrip transatlantic air travel with one piece of checked luggage (up to 50 lbs.)
    • You may purchase your airline ticket independently, in which case we reduce the Program Cost by $1,200; however, the program directors must approve this option in every case (contact: irish@georgiasouthern.edu)
  • Lodging (with secure-access entry) for the duration of the program.
  • Welcome and farewell group meals
  • All official program-related travel within Ireland/Europe, including transportation from the airport on arrival day and to the airport on departure day.
  • Fees and other expenses associated with guest lecturers, speakers, and performers.
  • Fees and other non-food/drink expenses associated with EFEXes (educational field experiences), including but not limited to admission to museums, parks, and other venues.
  • Some Georgia Southern University Wexford merchandise.
  • The international travel-insurance package required by the University System of Georgia.
  • The international health-insurance package required by the University System of Georgia.

Payment DOES NOT include:

  • Georgia Southern tuition and the university’s technology fee.
    • You can apply the HOPE scholarship, the PELL grant, and many other forms of financial aid to your tuition.
  • Academic books and supplies.
    • Your instructors are committed to minimizing these expenses, and many courses require no books or other supplies.
  • Food and drink.
    • Lodging in Ireland is in apartments with fully equipped kitchens that allow you to self-cater using grocery-store purchases (a major cost-saving versus dining in restaurants).
  • Incidental and personal expenses.
  • Personal travel within or outside Ireland that is in addition to the official travel that the program provides.
    • While Fridays are technically program days (for study and other work), we strive to keep them free of scheduled activities; thus, students who so choose should be able to plan three-day travel weekends, always complying with the travel-with-a-buddy requirement.
