MUSC 1515 – Technology in Music

Undergraduate students

An introductory survey of the history and theoretical foundations of music technology. Topics include acoustics, signal flow,   audio editing (using Pro Tools), musical signal processing basics, music notation (using Finale), and MIDI sequencing. Required for all music majors and music technology minors. Students will be given a basic overview of each of the areas under study and will be able to perform rudimentary operations in each skill area. Offered Fall and Spring semesters.
