Women’s Leadership Series’ Inaugural Semester a Success!
Fall 2016 saw the inaugural semester of the new Women’s Leadership Series.
Event 1 was a Keynote Talk by the first female President of Georgia Southern and its Provost, Jean Bartels, who talked about the ways in which she has used her leadership skills to succeed in a male-dominated administrative world. The auditorium was packed.
Event 2 was an interactive event called “Honing Your Negotiation Skills” with a panel of experts including: Patrice Buckner-Jackson, Marieke Van Willingen, Martha Abel, Teresa Thompson. This was another standing room only event.
Event 3 was a Networking Mixer for professional development and connection, as well as an opportunity to plan the collaborative events for Spring. Thank you everyone who participated and gave support this semester. Special thanks to the Temporary Steering Committee of Dr. Tracy Linderholm, Dr. Lissa Legee, and Dr. Lisa Costello. We look forward to another amazing series in Spring!
