Design Field Trip to SC
Interior Design Students in Design Studio IV (INDS 4435), led by Professor Erica Bartels, visited Young Office in Charleston, SC to review corporate office products to use on their Steelcase National Student Competition project. The group also visited with Charleston high-end residential interior designer, Alecia Stevens, in her French Quarter studio and shop for an inspirational conversation on becoming an emerging design professional. Additionally, they toured Charleston architecture, and visited the Historic City Market to see unique local goods. Before the trip, Prof. Bartels arranged for a zoom presentation from the Preservation Society of Charleston’s advocacy department, which highlighted special projects such as current developmental concerns and the Charleston Justice Journey.
