Adventure Education Field Trip to the Smokies

Students in Adventure Education (RECR 3230) planned and led a successful three day backpacking trip to Great Smoky Mountain National Park during the Fall 23 semester. According to the instructor, Dr. John Peden, the purpose of the trip is to integrate course content with first-hand experience in a manner that pushes students out of their comfort zone, and challenges them to grow as individuals and members of a team. RECR 3230 is offered in the fall and spring semesters.
