Exciting research presentations at the GS4

So proud of these three amazing undergraduate scholars! The School of Human Ecology had three Interior Design students present their Honor’s research today at the GS4 Student Scholar Symposium. They were Caitlin Nelms, under the direction of Beth McGee and Hailey Hawkins and Kennedy Johnson, under the direction of Chris Smith. The Symposium was held April 16th, 2024.

After three semesters of work they have accomplished their goal. Hailey presented “To what extent does lighting affect students’ preference for seating in the Georgia Southern University Zach S. Henderson Library?”, Kennedy presented “Exploring the Experience of Georgia Southern University Statesboro Campus: A Qualitative Study of Perceptions, Challenges, and Support” and Caitlin presented “What are the effect on students in a classroom with little to no access to natural lighting?”
