Tuition & Fees Now Available for Fall 2024

At its April 2024 board meeting, the Board of Regents and the University System of Georgia approved updated tuition and fees for the Fall 2024 term. Keep reading to learn more about important dates, tuition and fee rates, and payment information.

Fee Payment Deadline: August 14, 2024

The Fee Payment Deadline is the date that all fees must be paid in full. Any registration changes or changes in housing and meals made during the drop/add period are due ten (10) days following the end of the drop/add period. Failure to pay all invoice charges by the due dates can result in cancellation of all classes.

Mandatory Fees

Mandatory fees at Georgia Southern fund a variety of resources to ensure that our students have access to the best learning environment possible. New for Fall 2024, the USG is implementing a new “Online Learning Fee” for all fully online students. If all of your classes are online, you will pay the Online Learning Fee*.

*The Statesboro Campus Online Learning Fee will apply to students enrolled in fully online programs.

When will the new tuition and fee rates take effect?

The USG approved the rates for the 2024-2025 academic year. The new rates will apply to the Fall 2024 semester enrollment.

When will I receive an invoice?

Invoices are slated for an estimated mid-June time frame.

How do I know if I am considered a fully online student and will need to pay the online learning fee?

If all of your classes are online, you will pay the Online Learning Fee. This fee is equal to the technology fee that all students pay in addition to 50% of other mandatory fees. At Georgia Southern, the new Online Learning Fee is $474 on the Statesboro Campus and $262 on the Armstrong Campus. The Statesboro Campus Online Learning Fee will apply to students enrolled in fully online programs.

I am an out-of-state student who qualifies for the Border State Waiver program. Will my tuition rate change?

Out-of-state students who qualify for the Border State Waiver program will pay the new in-state tuition rate. Undergraduate in-state tuition will increase by 2.5%. For Georgia Southern in-state undergraduate students, that is an increase of $73 per 15-hour semester or less than $5 per credit hour.
