Allie Griffis crowned Miss Georgia Southern University 2022

Eight Georgia Southern University students participated, but only one could be named Miss Georgia Southern University. This year, that honor went to Allie Griffis who won the 74th rendition of the scholarship competition.

Along with her sash and crown, Griffis won a $2,000 scholarship from the University. She will go on to represent Georgia Southern University on and off campus,  as well as in the Miss Georgia Scholarship Competition on June 19 in Columbus, Georgia. If she wins there, she will compete for Miss America.

Griffis also won the Best Talent and Best Evening Wear Awards. Annaliese Mayo won the first runner-up, and Kaylie Hunter was second runner-up. Karla Thomas was given the People’s Choice Award.

The competition was supported by Fraizer’s Flowers, Annie’s Nail Salon, KC Lash Studio, Awards South, Chick-fil-A Statesboro and 180 Fitness.
