“We’re proud to announce our intention of being one of the first public universities to double-match the REACH scholarship,” said Keel. “Through additional corporate partnerships, donations and proceeds the University receives from the sale of its specialty license plates, Georgia Southern will invest in the future of our state, one life at a time, by dedicating additional funds to the program.”
“This program indicates that Georgia Southern is responsive to provide educational experiences that will improve the health care of Georgians,” said Allen. “It also shows the University’s commitment to continue meeting the educational preparation necessary for nurse practitioners to work in the ever-changing health care environment.”
Georgia Southern Stories
Georgia Southern's international student community now represents 89 countries. In time, however, both the small feel of the University and the southern hospitality makes them feel right at home.
Stephanie Todd Haley (‘95), a communication arts major at Georgia Southern, oversees programming and manages story/event planning for HLN, the cable network once known as CNN Headline News. Crediting her college experience as a guide into her profession, she gives back to the University, serving on the Communication Arts Advisory Board.
