Harris presents keynote to thousands in China

Kymberly Harris, Ph.D., associate professor of special education in the Department of Elementary and Special Education, was invited by the Henan Province Department of Education of China to serve as the keynote speaker at their recent Symposium on Good Practices of Early Childhood Inclusive Education.

The Symposium took place December 28-29, during which over 20,000 participants viewed Harris’ keynote address.

Her presentation, titled “The Quest for Quality Inclusive Preschool and Kindergarten,” included benefits of inclusive practices for both students with and without disabilities, as well as how to partner with families of students with disabilities, misconceptions, and how to create an inclusive environment both in a physical space and through instructional practices.
