Akcaoglu featured in Times Higher Education

ete Akcaoglu, Ph.D., assistant professor in the Department of Leadership, Technology, and Human Development, was featured in an article by the Times Higher Education on December 19.
The article highlights Akcaoglu’s research on the impact of lecturers attempting to connect with their students via social media outlets such as Facebook. Akcaoglu and co-author Nicholas David Bowman (West Virginia University) surveyed students across 15 institutions who were using instructor-led Facebook groups for both course materials and socialization purposes.
