Ms. Jamal Won International Student Awards

The International Student Admissions and Programs (ISAP) office, in collaboration with the International Education Week Committee (IEW), recently hosted the International Awards ceremony to honor exceptional international students, organizations, and supporters. These awards were presented during an IEW awards event on October 30th, 2023. The award categories included:

  • International Student Academic Excellence
  • International Student Advocate Award (faculty or staff)
  • International Student Organization of the Year
  • International Student Community Service Award
  • Outstanding International Student Award

We are excited to announce that Suhaima Jamal is the recipient of “International Student Community Service Award” this year for her deep commitment to volunteering and community service initiatives. She actively participates in various organizations, including SERVE912, Southern Leaders, and Office of Leadership and Community Service (OLCE), both on and off campus. Her contributions to these organizations have a significant and meaningful impact on society. Her involvement in off-campus initiatives underscores her sincere desire to effect positive change in the wider community. She also holds a perfect 4.00 GPA thus far with multiple research publications in her field. We congratulate her for this well-deserved award and wish her the very best in all her future endeavors.
