Campuses

Students may begin the Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) program on the Statesboro Campus or the Armstrong Campus in Savannah. All four years of the undergraduate Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) degree program are offered on the Statesboro Campus. In addition, the graduate Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering (MSME) program is offered exclusively from the Statesboro Campus. At this time, only lower-division courses are offered on the Armstrong Campus, and the program must be completed on the Statesboro Campus.

Armstrong Campus

Welcome to the Armstrong Campus of Georgia Southern University. The Armstrong Campus is the University’s residential campus in the vibrant city of Savannah. Situated just a few miles away from the charming squares of historic downtown Savannah, the Armstrong Campus affords students easy access to this dynamic and growing city’s abundant shopping, culinary and cultural activities. The intellectual home for some 6,500 students, the campus offers the feel of a private college with the affordability, diversity, and resources of a Carnegie doctoral/research university.

Students can choose from more than fifty majors on the Armstrong Campus in Savannah. The programs on the Armstrong Campus are taught by dedicated and experienced faculty in an intimate classroom setting that ensures personal interactions between the professor and students. Graduate programs designed for working professionals are available as well.

Statesboro Campus

Welcome to Georgia Southern University’s Statesboro Campus, a place where tradition and innovation meet. Home to more than 20,000 students, the Statesboro Campus is the oldest and largest campus at the University and combines Georgian-style buildings, grand live oaks, and sprawling lawns with state-of-the-art facilities for research, study, recreation, and dining. Get involved in one of 300 clubs and organizations, workout or join exercise classes at the massive Recreation Activity Center, or explore the walkways, trails, botanic garden, museum, and nature center across the 900-acre campus of seemingly endless possibilities.
