Trauma-Informed and Mental Wellness Research Collaborative
Enhancing Trauma Informed Perspectives for Professionals Working with Youth
Georgia Southern Trauma-Informed and Mental Wellness Research Collaborative
Professional Development Series 2023-2024
This professional development series was funded by a grant from the National Youth Advocacy and Resilience Research Center. The Trauma-Informed and Mental Wellness Research Collaborative combines interdisciplinary expertise from diverse field experiences to create a forum for increasing awareness about trauma and mental health, providing information about local resources, and increasing competencies among professionals in supporting the overall growth and wellness of youth in our community. You can find more about the establishment of this collaborative here: TIP and Mental Wellness Collaborative
We are hoping these resources will serve to enhance trauma-informed perspectives among educators, health professionals, counselors, school social workers, athletic coaches, and other professionals working with youth. You may provide feedback on individual modules or on the series in general. You can access the survey here: Professional Development Survey
There is an opportunity for participants to offer suggestions and feedback on our PD modules. There is also an opportunity for others to join our research collaborative as we expand opportunities and resources for professional development on these topics.
