Curriculum Studies Summer Collaborative hosts free online event, recorded sessions now available for viewing

On June 11-12, faculty members from the College of Education’s Department of Curriculum, Foundations and Reading virtually hosted the annual Curriculum Studies Summer Collaborative.

“Without the restrictions of traveling and its related costs, there were many scholars that came that never attended in person,” said Daniel Chapman, Ph.D., conference chair.

The conference kicked off with a session about southern author and civil rights activist Lillian Smith led by Matt Teutsch, director of the Lillian E. Smith Center at Piedmont College. Conference sessions included an array of curriculum studies topics and ideas with interactive curriculum studies presentations, as well as in-progress and published paper presentations.

Alongside Chapman, several College of Education faculty members presented during the conference including: Ming Fang He, Ph.D., Charles Hodges, Ph.D., Robert Lake, Ph.D., Marla Morris, Ph.D., Christopher Pugh, Ed.D., Michelle Reidel, Ph.D., Alexandra Reyes, Ph.D., William Reynolds, Ed.D., Sabrina Ross, Ph.D., Peggy Shannon Baker, Ph.D., and Janel Smith, Ed.D.
