Massey named a SoTL Fellow
Cynthia Massey, Ph.D., assistant professor of special education, was named to the competitive 2020-2021 Georgia Southern University Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) Fellows Program.
Designed to foster engagement and leadership in SoTL at Georgia Southern, four faculty were selected this year and will spend the academic year developing their research projects with guidance from the SoTL leadership team.
Massey’s research project is titled “Analyzing the Effectiveness of a Flipped Instruction Model in an Educator Prep Assessment Course.”
Fellows serve as leaders for SoTL at Georgia Southern for the academic year and are paired with a mentor to support their scholarship efforts. Fellows present their research results at the SoTL Commons Conference hosted by Georgia Southern each spring.
