Students participate in Blue Mile cleanup

On Saturday, March 25, more than 100 student volunteers participated in a Community Cleanup event in downtown Statesboro. The event was planned by Georgia Southern student Jefferson Doehling, a community liaison in the Office of Leadership and Community Engagement. The revitalization effort, led by Habitat for Humanity, included picking up litter and trash from approximately 26 blocks along 11 streets in the Blue Mile Neighborhood Revitalization area, filling up nearly 100 large trash bags.

The event was sponsored by Bulloch County Habitat for Humanity, with refreshments provided by Three Tree Coffee Roasters.
