Kennedy Williams named Miss Georgia Southern University
Kennedy Williams was crowned Miss Georgia Southern University 2021 on Saturday, Feb. 6, during the 73rd annual scholarship competition.
Williams, an Augusta, Georgia, native, is a junior and is majoring in construction management with a minor in fashion merchandising and design. She is also a third-year member of the Georgia Southern Dance Team. Williams will go on to compete in the annual Miss Georgia Scholarship Competition in June.
Shekina Williams was named first runner-up, while Kenley Lamb was named second runner-up.
Kennedy Williams was also named Miss Congeniality, won Best Talent and tied with Lamb for Best Evening Wear. Maddie Rowe won the People’s Choice Award.
This year’s event sponsors include Frazier’s Flowers, Annie’s Nails, Chick-fil-A Statesboro, Serenity Day Spa and Salon, Awards South, KC Lash Studio and Brazils Waxing Center.
