USG ITS has scheduled the annual PeopleSoft Financial system update to take place Nov. 3-6. Due to this update, PeopleSoft will be unavailable beginning at 5 p.m. on Nov. 3 until the morning of Nov. 6.  Beginning at 8 a.m., Nov. 6, PeopleSoft Financials will be available. Prior to logging back in on Nov. 6, please clear your cache. Also, be aware that your home screen may look slightly different as a result of this update.

The upgrade will contain a few updates and minor enhancements and functionality.

Please see the key points below:

  • All ePro processes including Georgia First MarketPlace Orders and Special Requests will be unavailable during a system outage. All requisitions must be in an open or approved status by noon on Nov. 3.
  • The Travel and Expense system will be unavailable during the system outage. All transactions must be in an approved status by noon on Nov. 2.
  • Electronic payment requests will be unavailable during the system outage. All transactions should be in an approved status by noon on Nov. 2.
  • Accounts Payable will be unable to issue any payments during the system outage on Nov. 6
  • Budget Transfers cannot be processed during the system outage on Nov. 6
  • Expenditure/Revenue Transfer requests cannot be processed on Nov. 6
  • Business Object Reports will be available during the system update downtime; however, the reports will not be refreshed with financial transactions from Nov. 3 to Nov. 6.

Thank you for your attention to these dates. We are dedicated to making this process as easy for on-campus departments as possible given the system restraints required for this system upgrade.

The PeopleSoft Financial System is used to maintain Georgia Southern University’s financial processes, including Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Budgets, and General Accounting.  This system is maintained by the University System of Georgia IT Services in Athens, Georgia.
