Ribbon Cutting for Interdisciplinary Academic Building set for Wednesday
Georgia Southern President Shelley C. Nickel cordially invites you to attend the ribbon cutting for the new Interdisciplinary Academic Building, which is located between the Carroll Building and IT Building on the Statesboro Campus. The ceremony will begin at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12. Refreshments will follow the ceremony.
Registration is open for Treasure Savannah
Treasure Savannah, a biannual day of service in the Savannah and surrounding communities, is set for Sept. 22. This tradition celebrates the rich history of the Armstrong Campus in the Savannah community. During the event, hundreds of students, staff and faculty will join together to give back to the community and build connections between Georgia Southern and the Savannah and Hinesville communities.
Georgia Southern students and indigenous Argentinian artists collaborate to celebrate Wichí culture
From Sept. 10 to 21, the Betty Foy Sanders Department of Art on the Armstrong Campus will present Fwala Jutunek (Light of the Sun), a silent auction and exhibition of native Argentinian Wichí bags, jewelry, wall hangings and other items that benefit the artisans who made them. There will also be an art exhibition by 2018 Argentina study abroad program students and a gallery reception, free and open to the public.
Join fellow Eagle Alumni across the country for National Day of Service
Alumni Eagle Outreach invites all alumni and friends to join in giving back to communities on Saturday, Sept. 22. Various projects have been coordinated around the country. If there is not a project in your area, you’re encouraged to take time to give back in some way. Wear your True Blue gear and submit a picture of your experience!
