Georgia Southern researchers make a difference. We are designated as both a Doctoral-Research (R2) university by the Carnegie classification and as an Innovation and Economic Prosperity university by the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities (APLU). With eight academic colleges, four research institutes, 12 research centers, a high-performance computing center, and advanced laboratories situated on multiple campuses throughout the Coastal region, we are the intellectual hub for public impact research and innovation in Southeast Georgia.
