UI/UX Developer Analyst, Communicorp

Job Summary

Supports eCommerce storefronts, platforms and their related operations. Collaborates with business stakeholders in creating eCommerce solutions. Utilizes web development to design eCommerce sites, micro sites, email blasts, and flip books.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Works effectively in a team oriented environment to achieve goals

Determine and document user requirements for storefront design and modification Propose design improvements and advocate for our customers

Translates technical requirements into storefront platform code and modules

Write basic design specifications; develops and integrates storefronts per written specifications

Works on small, minimally complex task(s) within a larger project requiring a singular area of expertise Participates in project-planning sessions with team members to analyze storefront platform requirements

Modifies existing storefronts and modules in accordance with written specifications and division standards Provides eCommerce platform integration, modifications, and ongoing maintenance

Participate in day-to-day production support for eCommerce platforms and services, including testing, deployment and maintenance of storefronts and storefront extension

Performs unit testing and implementation of eCommerce sites (developed or modified), ensuring the site meets the needs of the client and business

Troubleshooting issues with web content, and making recommendations for bug fixes and enhancements Participates in quality assurance (QA) and user acceptance activities

Aids in the preparation of status updates for projects

Performs other related duties as required

Qualifications

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in programming/systems, computer science, Web Design or

UI/UX development (preferred), an one to three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

design background (preferred)

Job Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle methodologies

Ability to present and explain technical information in a way that establishes rapport; persuades others and gains understanding.

Ability and willingness to accept responsibility, willingness to challenge established practices and draw relevant conclusions, including the persistence and willingness to take calculated risk.

Understanding of database systems and SQL Understanding of Web Services, HTML, CSS and JavaScript Experience with InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator a plus Production Print knowledge a plus

Microsoft Office experience with a high-level knowledge of Excel A natural problem solver

On-call duties required as needed Travel less than 10% of the time
