RepowerIT is a provider of IT solutions for businesses, which includes supplying a variety of IT equipment and services to our customers. This position is based in Guyton, GA. We are seeking a highly dependable Computer Technician. The compensation range is between $15-18 hourly and provides exposure to a variety of types of technology equipment. Are you a student? This position is available either part-time with limited benefits or full-time with full benefits.

You will be required to be on your feet for large portions of the day, and will work in our warehouse or at various customer sites for a large portion of the day. You must be able to comfortably lift a variety of IT hardware including servers, storage enclosures, etc.

Key requirements for this position include:

• Good familiarity with computer hardware. At a minimum, the capability to assemble a computer from parts and install a properly licensed operating system.
• Ability to learn unfamiliar platforms without much guidance
• Exposure to enterprise data center hardware is a plus, but not required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• High level of dependability
• Experience with sales or customer service is a plus, but not required. Since you will be interacting with customers, you will be a representative of our brand and culture.
• Proven track record of working effectively at any previous positions, regardless of industry.
• We verify all references and past employment.
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required for all employees, except in cases which a valid exemption exists.
• All employees are fingerprintedat the Effingham County Sheriff’s office and are required to pass a criminal background check.
• You must have a good driving record. Some minor infractions may be okay, however you must be approved by our insurance company as you will be required to drive a company vehicle occasionally.
• Due to the sensitive nature of our work, all employees will be required to sign a non-disclosure agreement as a condition of employment

Your primary responsibilities will be to assist with:

• Receiving and unloading shipments as they arrive
• Operating a forklift (we will pay for your forklift certification, if you don’t have one)
• Inspecting, testing, and configuring new and previously used hardware
• Troubleshooting technical issues related to company inventory of new/used IT hardware
• Resolving customer IT matters at their business locations or via remote support solutions
• Packing and shipping
• Some limited business travel may be required
• Other tasks as assigned
