Hodges delivers workshop for participants in Indonesia

Charles Hodges, Ph.D., professor of instructional technology in the Department of Leadership, Technology and Human Development, was invited to present to 130 Indonesian educators on December 11 as a part of an educational technology workshop.

His two-hour presentation titled, “Getting Started with Educational Technology Research,” was targeted for graduate students and faculty from disciplines outside of educational technology who want to do education research in their disciplines involving technology. Hodges focused was on avoiding common misconceptions like digital natives, media comparison studies, and the myth of learning styles.

The workshop was hosted by the Association of Indonesian Scholars of English Education and the Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia.
