COE faculty edit latest edition of student services monograph

Faculty members from the Department of Leadership, Technology and Human Development served as editors of the latest issue of the New Directions for Student Services, a quarterly monograph that explores the latest research in the higher education field. Elise Cain, Ph.D., Carl Sorgen, Ph.D., and Daniel Calhoun, Ph.D., faculty of higher education administration and educational leadership, titled the edition “The Multiple Identities of Rural College Students,” and compiled eight articles written by contributing authors discussing topics related to college students from rural areas.

Articles range in topics pertaining to rural college students, from impacts of academic advising, aspirations of rural minority students, support efforts for LGBTQ+ students in rural areas and “urbanormativity.”
