Marla Morris, Ph.D., FRSA, professor of curriculum studies in the Department of Curriculum, Foundations and Reading, recently published Curriculum Studies in the Age of Covid-19.

Morris, who has been a faculty member in the College of Education for over 20 years, also serves as a clinical staff chaplain at a level 1 trauma hospital in Savannah. Through her experiences in both of these realms, Morris documents stories of COVID-19. She draws on multiple theoretical frameworks as she recounts stories from the frontlines as a hospital chaplain.

“The heart of education is the archivization of the truth of history and the truth of memory, and the documentation of this pandemic is our ethical duty. How we respond to those who are suffering tells us about who we are and who we might become.

This book might be of interest to educationists, curriculum studies scholars, philosophers, theologians, literary scholars, historians, medical anthropologists, bioethicists, health humanities scholars, hospital chaplains as well as palliative care physicians and psychoanalysts.”

The book is available on Amazon.
