MAJ Norma Drayton

A native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, MAJ Norma Y. Drayton enlisted in the US Army in August 1990, as a Unit Supply Specialist. In October 2009, she was commissioned a Quartermaster Officer after attending Officer Candidate School.

MAJ Drayton’s previous assignments include: Platoon Leader, 10th Transportation Company and 473rd Quartermaster Company, 260th Quartermaster Battalion, 3rd Sustainment Brigade; Executive Officer, 473rd Quartermaster Company; Protocol Officer, DHHB, 3rd Infantry Division where she deployed as the forward Joint Visitors Bureau (JVB) action officer ISO Operation ENDURING FREEDOM; Brigade S4, 3rd Military Police Brigade CID, USACID, Hunter Army Airfield, GA; G3 Training and Exercise Plans Officer, 167th Theater Sustainment Command, Fort McClellan, AL where she deployed as the Logistics/Military Intelligence Program Manager for Office of Security Cooperation-Iraq (OSC-I) ISO Operation INHERENT RESOLVE; Battalion S3/S4 OIC, HHC Rear Detachment, Special Troops Battalion, 3rd Sustainment Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division; Special Troops Battalion, 274th MCT Company Commander; 3rd Sustainment Brigade, SPO DIB Officer, Fort Stewart, GA.

MAJ Drayton’s military education includes Warrior Leader Course, Advanced Leader Course, Basic Officer Leader Course, Quartermaster Officer Basic Course, Combined Logistics Captains Career Course and Command and General Staff Officer College.

MAJ Drayton’s awards and decorations include Bronze Star Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal (2OLC), Joint Service Achievement Medal, Army Achievement Medal (3OLC), Joint Meritorious Unit Award, Meritorious Unit Award (1OLC), Army Good Conduct Medal (4Knots), Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, NATO Medal and various other awards and decorations.

MAJ Drayton holds a Masters of Operational Studies from Command and General Staff Officer College, Bachelor of Arts in Theology from Saint Leo University, Certificate in Institute of Security Cooperation Studies from Wright-Patterson AF Base, and SOLE-The International Society of Logistics, Demonstrated Senior Logistician from Army Logistics University.

She is married to Brian, and they have two children: Janelle and Faith.

MAJ Drayton joined the Cadre of the Eagle Battalion in Summer 2021 and serves as one of our MS1 Instructors.
