Meagon Clarkson-Guyll joins Eagle Nation as Director of Center for Advising, Retention, and Completion

Meagon Clarkson-Guyll, Ph.D., has been named director of the Center for Advising, Retention and Completion at Georgia Southern. In this role, she will spearhead initiatives bolstering student success through comprehensive academic advising services tailored to meet the needs of all our students.

Clarkson-Guyll worked with the Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Arkansas for nearly 12 years demonstrating a commitment to students and a collaborative approach to campus partnerships. She is known at the University of Arkansas for her mentorship, expertise, and genuine commitment to the wellbeing of her students and colleagues.

Beginning in 2012 at the Fulbright College Advising Center, she worked to enrich the academic paths of countless students. In her most recent capacity as Fulbright College's director of academic programs, she provided guidance to arts and sciences TRIO students, taught courses in English and business communication, and organized new student programming for freshmen, returning and transfer students, as well as those exploring arts and sciences disciplines.

Clarkson-Guyll holds four degrees from the University of Arkansas.
