Georgia Southern Cybersecurity Participates in Georgia Cyber Academy’s End of Year Event

The Georgia Cyber Academy is a state-sponsored consortium of home-schooled students, grades K-12. They held their annual end-of-year event on April 19, 2023 at the Fort Pulaski National Monument, which is east of Savannah on the way to Tybee Island. Georgia Southern’s Cybersecurity (CACE) as part of our Department of Information Technology, participated, promoting our program to the grades 9 – 12 students in attendance. Representing Georgia Southern and CACE were its Director, Professor Frank Katz (left), and its Associate Director, Dr. Chris Kadlec (right).

Georgia Southern will host grades 9-12 of the Georgia Cyber Academy in one of our labs on the Savannah Campus at Armstrong on September 12, 2023. During that visit, students will participate in various Cybersecurity and Cryptographic exercises.
