 Established in 2002, the Friends of Henderson Library is dedicated to supporting and strengthening the Library’s services and collections. It strives to achieve this by:
- Providing a forum for interested persons to show their support for the Library and to come together periodically for special fundraisers and library-related events.
- Developing an awareness of the important academic role that Henderson Library plays within the University and the regional community.
- Proposing to the Library administration projects for the organization to manage that would build support and resources for the Library’s collections and services. Such projects may include events, activities, grants, and gift solicitations from individuals, corporations and foundations.
- Encouraging others to support the Library through membership and participation in the Friends organization.
Friends Council
The Friends of Henderson Library Friends Council is composed of members appointed to three-year renewable terms. More information on the Council and our operations are contained within our bylaws. To volunteer with event planning or to be considered for the Friends Council, please email us.
