Arabic Lunch Celebration This Week

The Department of World Languages & Cultures has coordinated with Lakeside Dining to host an Arabic Lunch Celebration on Wednesday, Apr. 10, 2024. The celebration is part of Arabic Week and marks Eid al-Fitr, the end of Ramadan. Menu items are as follows:

Mains & Sides
Jawaneh (Lebanese Chicken Wings)
Beef Tagine w/Apricots (Moroccan Inspired Beef Stew)
Kabsa (Arabian style Chicken and Rice)
Roasted Vegetable Couscous w/Chickpeas and Almonds
Mujadara (Lentils and Rice with Caramelized Onions)
Falafel (Crispy Chickpea Fritters)
Tabbouleh (Fresh Herb Salad w/Bulgur Wheat)
Hummus w/ Pita Chips

Baklava (Layered Filo Pastry w/Honey and Nuts)
Maamoul (Date-Filled Butter Cookies)
Sfouf (Lebanese Turmeric Cake)
Basbousa (Egyptian Semolina Cake w/Coconut)

Lunch will be served from 11:00 am til 3:00 pm.
