The site also features a picnic area and a nature trail which leads visitors through the property, to the ruins, and around the marshes. Wormsloe is a great place for anyone that loves history. Explore a world of art and culture at the three Telfair Museum locations in downtown Savannah. In 1883, the prominent Savannah philanthropist Mary Telfair left her home and all its furnishings and art to the Georgia Historical Society. It was her hope that her home would be turned into a museum to honor the unique history and culture of the city. That hope was certainly realized as the Telfair museums claim the title of the oldest public museum in the South. The three locations work together to provide visitors a comprehensive timeline of the art, history, and architecture of the city of Savannah. The $20 admission covers entry at all three Telfair locations. Don’t forget to bring your Eagle ID for a student discount!
