What is a lab school?

A lab school is a University-affiliated program that offers teacher training, professional development, and opportunities for educational research. The CDC  is one of many lab schools throughout the United States that offers exceptional educational opportunities to young children and college students. Lab schools across the country use a variety of educational models, placing varying emphasis on research and training.

As a lab school, the CDC is a training site for students in Human Development & Family Science as well as Psychology and Nursing. We offer opportunities to conduct research as well as observe developmentally appropriate educational practices.
