Gas Turbine

Turbine Technologies, LTD MiniLab Turbojet Engine Laboratory. The system’s National Instruments based data acquisition hardware and software displays and records compressor inlet temperature and pressure, turbine inlet temperature and pressure, turbine exit temperature and pressure, thrust and fuel flow and makes possible studies of: Brayton Cycle, Compressor Performance, Turbine Performance, as well as Combustion and Emissions Analysis.

Fuel Atomization Verification

Turbine Technologies, LTD Fuels Atomization Lab. Proper atomization verification is especially important for testing of alternative fuel formulations such as bio-diesels. Improper spray patterns signify fuel formulations that are not compatible with the existing engine fuel injection system. Attempting to run an engine with these non-conforming fuel formulations could potentially damage it.  SprayView is an optional fuel spray testing system for the SR-30 Gas Turbine Engine manufactured by Turbine Technologies, Ltd. It has been designed with a built-in engine spray manifold to allow operators the ability to test the atomization characteristics of fuels before they are actually burned in the engine.

Malvern Panalytical Spraytec Laser Diffraction System

Malvern Panalytical’s Spraytec laser diffraction system allows measurement of spray particle and spray droplet size distributions in real-time for more efficient product development of sprays and aerosols. It has been specifically designed to address the unique requirements for spray characterization and deliver robust, reproducible droplet size data.
