STEM Basecamp at Georgia Southern

Hit the ground running as an incoming freshman in the College of Science and Mathematics (COSM) at Georgia Southern University! STEM Basecamp is an exciting five-day adventure designed to help you successfully transition to college, develop skills and strategies for success, and take some of the stress out of your first semester at Georgia Southern.

Requirements and Application Process

Space is limited to only 50 students this year, so apply early to secure your spot!

To be eligible for STEM Basecamp, you must:

  • Be a declared major in one of the COSM bachelor’s degree programs.
  • Have a secured housing contract for the 2024-2025 academic year.
  • Be an incoming freshman to Georgia Southern University.
  • Have completed freshman SOAR orientation.
  • Be registered for fall 2024 classes.
  • Have a meal plan.
  • Volunteer to assist fellow students during Operation Move In (OMI) on August 10th.

The application deadline for STEM Basecamp is June 28th, 2024. We will notify you of your acceptance status by July 8th. If you are not accepted, you will be placed on a waitlist.
