Join the Honors Savannah Scholars and make historic Savannah, Georgia your classroom!

Want to experience life in one of America’s most beautiful and historic cities and create networks that will enrich your studies and career? The Honors Savannah Scholars Program brings together a select group of students on Georgia Southern’s Armstrong Campus who want to understand Savannah’s history, economy and culture through coursework and active engagement with community partners.

$2,000 annual scholarship

renewable for up to eight semesters

Savannah, Georgia has the fourth busiest port in the nation, serves as the medical hub of the region, and draws visitors from all over the world who enjoy its vibrant arts and music scene. Make Savannah your classroom as you learn hands-on about a variety of subjects from American history to wetlands ecology to the logistics of commerce. Learning in small classes with the support of academic and professional mentors, Savannah Scholars will develop close connections that will last a lifetime.

Select this program when applying to the Honors College. Open to all majors.

Students selected for the program will benefit from:

  • Co-curricular activities, including active engagement with local community partners. Make community connections that will benefit students long after graduation.
  • $2,000 annual scholarship renewable for up to eight semesters.
