Due to limited student ambassador availability over the summer, we are unable to offer group visits from early May to late August.

High School Group Visit Mega Week

Thank you for your interest in bringing your students to Georgia Southern University’s Statesboro Campus for our High School Group Visit Mega Week!

To provide a more streamlined and engaging experience for visiting high schools, we are designating October 13–16 as a special week for high school group visits. During Mega Week, schools will participate in a coordinated campus visit experience that includes an admissions information session and campus tours.

Mega Week Details

Dates: October 13–16

Morning Session: 10:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.

Afternoon Session: 1:30–4:30 p.m.

Maximum Group Size: 60 students per school

Each session will include:

• Georgia Southern admissions and student experience information session
• Campus bus tour
• Walking campus tour
• Student Ambassador engagement
• Optional lunch at the Georgia Southern Dining Commons

Because we will be coordinating multiple high school groups each day, advance registration and accurate participant counts are especially important.

Chaperone Expectations

To help ensure a safe, organized, and positive experience for all students, we ask that schools provide approximately one chaperone for every 10 students attending. Chaperones will be expected to remain with and actively supervise their students throughout the visit, including during the information session, tours, transportation, transitions, and lunch.

Additional Visit Information

Groups of more than 35 participants may be divided into smaller tour pods for the campus tour portion of the visit. Schools will not be combined with other schools, and students will remain with their assigned school and chaperones throughout the experience.

Once your visit is confirmed, we will provide additional information regarding arrival instructions, parking, the day’s schedule, chaperone expectations, lunch, and what to expect during your visit.
