The fraternity and sorority community on the Armstrong Campus is close-knit and welcoming. While there are currently no fraternities on campus, six sororities offer students chances to lead, serve others, stay on track academically, and build lifelong friendships.
Each chapter brings its own traditions and values, creating a network that adds to the overall experience of being a student at Armstrong. Sorority members support one another, give back through service projects, and help shape a strong community on campus.
Armstrong Chapters
There are seven chapters on the Armstrong campus. There are seven sororities. There is one approved expansion starting in the Fall ’23 semester. When you join a fraternity or sorority, you are not just joining one chapter, but a council and a community. There are three Greek-letter councils at Georgia Southern University. All organizations have varying missions and purposes but all share similar values to lifelong membership, giving back to others, growing and developing as leaders, and excelling academically.

Chapter Status
We believe in being open about the status of our chapters. Fraternities and sororities at Georgia Southern run themselves and are responsible for their own choices.
Chapter updates are shared when:
- A chapter is found responsible for an academic or disciplinary issue after due process.
- A chapter is placed on academic probation.
- A chapter is suspended by its national organization or the university.
