Georgia Southern University is proud to partner with Fort Stewart* – Hunter Army Airfield to provide graduate courses on post in Hinesville and Savannah.

Looking to grow your military career or transition to civilian life? Georgia Southern gives you the chance to earn a graduate degree without having to leave base. Our programs offered at the education centers on Hunter Army Airfield and Fort Stewart include courses that can be completed in as few as eight weeks! Our team of trained professionals is ready to help you get the most out of your military benefits and help you become the leader you’re meant to be.

Candidates who wish to take courses at the Army Education Center at Fort Stewart beginning January 8, 2024, should submit an application for the Fall 2024 semester and email Graduate Admissions at to request an entry term update to Spring 2024.

Military spouse? Don’t worry about the undergraduate or graduate application fee. We’ve got you covered.

Georgia Southern University’s Master of Arts in Professional Communication and Leadership is designed for working professionals. Graduate Certificate Cybercrime

The Graduate Certificate in Cybercrime is perfect for soldiers or military-connected members, giving them the opportunity to specialize in an area without committing to a longer academic program. Graduates will be able to understand and combat cyber threats, analyze digital evidence and malware and economic crime, all in the name of enhancing cybersecurity.

Military Tuition Assistance

VA Vocational Rehabilitation / Chapter 31

VA Vocational Rehabilitation / Chapter 31

The VA Vocational Rehabilitation (VR&E) / Chapter 31 helps Veterans with a service connected disability. This program offers support and services so the Veteran is able to live and work as independently as possible. VR&E helps the Veteran to find the best employment option and will address any education or training needs that the Veteran needs to complete their track. The Post-9/11 GI Bill® / Chapter 33

The Post-9/11 GI Bill® / Chapter 33

The Post-9/11 GI Bill® / Chapter 33 helps Veterans or Family to pay for some, or all, of the cost of school or training. Using the Post-9/11 GI Bill®, the VA will pay the tuition directly to the school, and send the student a monthly housing stipend based on location, along with $500 per semester (Spring and Fall) to aid in book fees. Individual Tutorial Assistance

Individual Tutorial Assistance

The VA Tutorial Assistance program will help pay for a tutor if you need extra help with your coursework. Georgia Southern offers tutors through the Academic Success Center, however, if needed the VA will pay up to $100 per month for Tutorial Assistance for a private tutor.
