As we wrap up Ethics Awareness Week, we reflect on the values that have guided our conversations, activities, and shared learning. Today, we celebrate two values that are deeply interconnected: Collaboration and Sustainability.

At Georgia Southern, we believe that meaningful progress is built through teamwork, shared governance, and partnerships that foster innovation and collective problem-solving. When we collaborate ethically, we create solutions that are not only effective—but enduring.

Sustainability reminds us that our decisions today shape the future of our university and the communities we serve. Responsible resource management, thoughtful practices, and long-term vision are essential to building a resilient, ethical institution.

Together, these values challenge us to think beyond individual impact and toward collective responsibility. Whether you’re a student, faculty member, or staff, your commitment to ethical collaboration and sustainable action helps ensure Georgia Southern remains a place of integrity, excellence, and care.
