Faculty Writing Room

The Faculty Center’s Faculty Writing Room, located on the Statesboro campus, is a dedicated environment designed to support faculty members in their academic writing endeavors. Whether you’re working on research papers, grant proposals, or creative projects, this space offers a quiet, collaborative atmosphere to enhance productivity and creativity.

Furnishings

The Faculty Writing Room can host a dozen writers at a time: 

  • Eight at the central table
  • Two on comfortable reading chairs
  • Two at desks with large monitors and laptop docking stations.

Armstrong

The Faculty Center’s Multipurpose Room on Armstrong can be quickly configured to support collaborative writing. With expanded furnishings, as well as matching equipment, and refreshments, the Faculty Center’s Multipurpose room on Armstrong makes an ideal Faculty writing space.

Library & Reading Room

The Faculty Center Library and Reading Room at Georgia Southern University is a dedicated space designed to support the academic and research needs of faculty. This tranquil environment offers a variety of resources, including a comprehensive collection of literature. Additionally, the Faculty Center Library in Statesboro features a reading room furnished with comfortable seating and a quiet study area, providing an ideal setting for focused work and reflection. Our Armstrong location provides faculty access to a robust collection of literature as well. The Faculty Center Library and Reading Room aims to foster a productive and serene atmosphere for scholarly pursuits.

Multi-Purpose Rooms

The Faculty Center Multi-Purpose Rooms at Georgia Southern University in both Statesboro and Armstrong are versatile spaces designed to accommodate a variety of activities, including workshops, writing sessions, and site-synchronous meetings. Whether you’re hosting a collaborative event or seeking a quiet place to focus, our multi-purpose rooms provide the perfect environment to support Faculty academic and professional endeavors.

Wellness Room

TThe Faculty Center’s Faculty Wellness Room in Cone Hall in Statesboro is a serene space inspired by the successful design of the Waters College of Health Professions’ Wellness Room, created by Dr. Tamarah Hunt. This room is thoughtfully equipped to provide faculty and staff with a peaceful retreat to alleviate stress and promote mental well-being. It features green plants, an art table, adult coloring books, and two massage chairs with footrests. The room aims to foster a tranquil environment for rest and rejuvenation, helping to combat anxiety, burnout, and mental distress.
