Georgia Southern Foreign Languages Professor Olga Amarie, Ph.D., discovered this after being awarded the Alexie Mateevici Commemorative Medal in July from her home country, the Republic of Moldova, a landlocked country located between Romania and Ukraine.

The series is sponsored by the Japan Foundation in collaboration with the Department of Foreign Languages and the Office of International Programs and Services.
William Daniels’ textile exhibit “On Pins and Needles” will be on view from Sept. 24 to Oct. 26, and an artist talk will begin Tuesday, Sept. 25 at 5 p.m. in Arts Building, room 2071. A reception will follow at the Center for Art and Theatre from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
