Equal Opportunity & Affirmative Action Policies

Title IX & Sexual Misconduct Policies
Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 prohibits sex discrimination in any educational program or activity receiving federal financial assistance. Georgia Southern complies with Title IX and related laws through the following policies:
- Sexual Harassment & Sexual Misconduct Policy
Defines prohibited conduct, outlines investigation and hearing procedures, and describes rights and responsibilities of the parties involved.
This policy aligns with the University System of Georgia’s Sexual Misconduct Policy and current Title IX regulations.
Disability Accommodation (ADA) Policies
Georgia Southern complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act. The University ensures qualified individuals with disabilities receive reasonable accommodations in both academic and employment settings.
