About the Program:
Through Eagles on Wall Street, Parker College students are able to interact and network with associates, analysts, managers, and executives of some of the most prestigious firms in the financial system, learning about different divisions of the companies, the careers of the hosts and speakers, internship and job prospects, and gain career advice from those who have succeeded in NYC. Students acquire first-hand knowledge of what it is like working and living in The Big Apple as they “commute” to different firms during rush hour, just like NYC locals.
Courses Titles and Credits:
Students have the opportunity to earn course credit and must be enrolled in 3 credit hours to participate in this program. Students may choose from either of the following:
Undergraduates: FINC 4631 or ECON 4631 – Eagles on Wall Street
Eligibility:
Undergraduate students should have a declared major in Finance or Economics, junior or senior status, a minimum 2.5 GPA, and no active disciplinary record with the institution at the time of application. Students must have completed FINC 3131 with a grade of “C” or better.
All students must be fully admitted to the institution and at least 18 years of age by the program departure date.

Due to external policies regarding vaccination, all participants on this program will need to be prepared to provide proof of a completed COVID-19 vaccination schedule when requested by a 3rd party to fully participate in all scheduled activities for this program. An inability to enter any establishment or meet 3rd party requirements regarding vaccination is a risk carried by the student alone, and the program will not make alternate financial, travel, or academic arrangements on their behalf.
Dates of Program:
Travel: May 12 – May 18, 2024
Students will enroll for credit in the Summer 2024 A Term and will be required to attend pre-departure course meetings in the Spring 2024 term.
Students should plan to arrive in New York City on May 12. They should plan to depart from New York City on May 18.
Program Cost:
$1,618.00
Includes: A weeklong subway pass upon check-in at the hotel; lodging at a centrally-located hotel for the duration of the program; welcome and farewell dinners; tour and entrance expenses; guest lectures; Parker College polo shirt.
Additional Costs: Tuition & fees for 3 credit hours of course enrollment, travel expenses to/from New York City and additional meals/personal expenses not included in the program cost.
Application and Payment Schedule:
Program Application and $500.00 deposit payment: Due February 18, 2024
1st Payment of $559.00: Due March 15, 2024
2nd Payment of $559.00: Due April 15, 2024
Students should complete the basic application in the Global Portal, and submit an interest form to the Department of Finance. All parts of the application (including deposit) must be submitted prior to being formally accepted to the program.
Student should apply early; depending on interest, the program may be filled prior to the advertised application deadline.
Course Meeting Information:
All program participants will be required to attend a series of pre-departure meetings in Spring 2024. Meetings will be held from 2:30-5:30p.m. on the afternoons of 3/22, 3/29, 4/5, and 4/19, with an additional meeting on the morning of 4/6. This schedule is preliminary and subject to changes and updates as necessary for the benefit of the program.
Refund information:
Once formally accepted to the program, all payments are non-refundable.
