The Dean of Students Office is proud to launch the CARE Champion Recognition Awards!
This award recognizes Georgia Southern faculty and staff who have gone above and beyond to support students experiencing challenges.
- Students may nominate any faculty or staff member who:
- Showed compassion and care.
- Connected them with helpful resources.
- Advocated for their needs.
- Positively impacted their well-being or academic experience.
Only students may submit nominations. Submission deadline is March 31st, 2026.

The Dean of Students Office at Georgia Southern University is proud to recognize the recipients of the Spring 2026 CARE Champion Recognition Award. This award celebrates faculty and staff who go above and beyond in their commitment to students by demonstrating compassion and care, connecting students with valuable resources, advocating for student needs, and making a meaningful impact on student well-being and success.
Nominated directly by students, these individuals exemplify what it means to foster a culture of care across our campus community.

Memory Littles
M.Ed., Director, Office of Student Activities
Memory Littles is recognized for her unwavering commitment to putting students first and creating a supportive, caring environment during high-pressure moments. Through consistent check-ins, encouragement, and hands-on support, she ensures students feel seen, supported, and capable of success.
Quote from nominator:
“Memory has always made it her goal to put student’s needs first. I was tasked with planning Georgia Southern’s homecoming in 2024 and 2025. Each year Memory made sure to help and support me by asking what task do I need help with, checked in on my mental health because of the stress and pressure, and helped me execute a successful homecoming twice.”

Tina Lee
CPHT, Certified Pharmacy Technician, Health Services
Tina Lee is celebrated for her compassionate and reliable support in Health Services pharmacy. Her attention to detail, responsiveness, and genuine care have created a seamless and reassuring experience for students managing their health while pursuing their academic goals.

“While being a student at Georgia Southern I have utilized Health Services for a large portion of my overall healthcare. The Georgia Southern Health Services Pharmacy has been critical to my care and my ability to manage my disabilities as a student. Tina Lee, CPHT has been a huge part of that! She is the main contributor to creating the best experience with a pharmacy that I have ever had.”

Ph.D, Associate Professor of Marketing, Department of Marketing, Parker College of Business
Dr. Jin-Woo Kim is recognized for his dedication to student growth, both academically and personally. Through encouragement, mentorship, and intentional connection, he fosters a learning environment where students feel valued, supported, and inspired.
